Below is a summary map that depicts where WPF has worked throughout the world. As you toggle over each country where we have worked (indicated with the dot) a summary paragraph explaining our projects in that country will appear at the bottom of the map. For more details, click on the country in the list on the left.
China - WPF has provided goats, chickens, pigs and cows to farm communities in China to help strengthen their economies and to promote better health by increasing their dietary intake. In May 2008 when Cyclone Nargis swept across Myanmar (Burma), WPF provided medical care, food, clothing and shelter.
Ethiopia - WPF has sponsored two medical teams (including surgery teams) to remote Somaliland region of Jijiga, Harar and Dera Dawa in October 2007 and to the Northern Highlands in Mekele and Wakuro in August 2008. WPF also sponsored the Rehoboth Health Center by providing health equipment, facilities and medical equipment to enable their staff to deliver more and better health services. Additionally WPF sponsored the Little House of the Poor Orphanage in Wakuro with medical treatment, education material, clothing and a container shipment in November 2009
India - Pakistan - WPF provided emergency shelters to people in the Mansehra District through Shelter Now International after the community was nearly destroyed from the October 2005 Earthquake. Here they were able to purchase temporary housing for 12,500 people.
Indonesia – Philippines - After the Indonesian tsunami in December 2004, WPF provided medical supplies valuing over $840,000 to medical personnel traveling to aid the devastated communities in Banda Aceh. Additionally WPF provide funds to rebuild homes after the Padang earthquake in September 09. In the Philippines, WPF has provided funds to support numerous relief (medical, education and rebuilding) programs for victims of wars in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur and as a result of Typhoon Ketsana in September-October 2009.
Iran - WPF has funded micro-economic grants to help the poor develop a brighter future. These grants fund entrepreneurs that help the individual but further foster business and community growth.
Kenya - WPF supported a medical team that conducted dental and medical care in Kisumu, Kadawa, Garissa, Anole and Ziwani. Additionally WPF provided aid to support the Kibera slum on the outskirts of Nairobi

Senegal, Africa - Along with financial aid has come many other gifts and resources that have improved the overall quality of life for those in Senegal. WPF has supported two medical teams into Kenya. The first was in October of 2005 and the second was May of 2006. Here, medical and dental teams have conducted extensive work in the areas of Djiorbivol, Bargny, Bambey, Wacka Ngouna and Keur Samba Ka. The care given by these teams was focused on primary care and prevention. Life saving medicines and treatments, as well as health care supplies, were distributed to the members of these communities.
Sudan - WPF has stepped up to help the millions that suffer in Sudan and has provided monetary aid to support numerous projects including power, shelter, food, education, infrastructure and community health projects outside of the Southern Darfur region
South America - Tri-Border Region-WPF funded medical and dental clinics that provided live saving treatment in seven locations. WPF also purchased a disaster relief vehicle used to bring badly needed supplies to flood ridden disaster areas in northern Brazil.
Central America – WPF purchased and installed clean water systems, provided funding for education and micro-business projects to enable the people in Central America to live a better life. |
