China - In order to support the economic growth of some communities in China, WPF has funded farm projects with goats, chickens, pigs and cows. This assists the new farm communities to provide sources of nutritional wellness in addition to economic growth. The projects provide an opportunity for the community to be strengthened through selling their food on the market. Also, the communities themselves are in better health through the vast expansion of their dietary intake.

Cyclone Nargis swept across Myanmar (Burma) on May 2 and 3 of 2008, triggering a huge sea surge and killing 140,000 people. WIth over 2 million affected and damage estimated at $4 million, WPF provided funds for life saving medical care, food, clothing and shelter. At left needy families receive goats for milk and other food.
