| In 2006, WPF supported a medical team that conducted dental and medical care in Kisumu, Kadawa, Garissa, Anole, and Ziwani. The team conducted several surgeries including one on this young boy (right), Lawrence Okoth who underwent facial surgery and the removal of bone mass, teeth and extremities. |

In 2009, WPF provided funds to support basic needs (food and clothing), education and microbusiness projects for people who live in the Kibera slums just outside of Nairobi. Kibera is the second largest slum in the world with a population of over one million people.
The microbusiness projects include business' for women that help them provide support for their families. The projects include sewing and small stores. |
