Sudan
A country that has only known 11 years of peace in the last 60, Sudan signed a comprehensive peace agreement in January of 2005 to end the brutal conflict that so many have suffered from. Still, the suffering continues with now over 2 million dead and 4 million displaced. The dwindling relief supplies and lack of personnel or security hamper attempts to alter the devastation that so many face. WPF has stepped up to the crisis and provided of $80,000 in monetary aid to support numerous projects including power, shelter, food, education, infrastructure and community health projects outside of the Southern Darfur region.
WPF has provided funding for a new medical clinic building including materials and construction to bring compassionate aid to the local communities through outreach with medical professionals. |
